What Could Cause A Child's Foot To Turn In Leading To A Limp While Walking?
Question: My 2 1/2 year old grandson has suddenly started limping and I noticed his foot is turned in also? He has had x-rays and it doesn't show any fractures.
He is very active, we thought he hurt his leg at a baby gym outing. It has lasted over a week. His father was born with cerebral palsy and my grandson is an IVF baby.

Brief Answer:
Limp
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
The negative x ray, and the fact that he is bearing weight on the leg, is all very good news. However, i am concerned, just as you are, that there has been no improvement in the limp in over a week. I do not believe in any way that this is Cerebral Palsy. But there could be a growing infection, or some other neurological issue going on with him. the place to start finding answers would be with his pediatrician who could refer him to a pediatric neurologist or infectious disease expert, depending on the pediatricians impression.
