What Could Cause A Painful Mole Behind My Ear?

Question: i have this mole type thing at the back of my ear from quite a few weeks now and as I tried to touch it today, it started paining and pea sized inside skin.
Brief Answer:
need to get it checked up by a Dermatologist...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
From your description, it's not clear as there can be numerous reasons for such lumps. You may upload a picture of the lump (if it's visible from outside) so that I can review further.
Since you've mentioned its paining also, it could be infected/even traumatized, the only way to ascertain is after a thorough clinical examination by a Dermatologist. Management can be done based on the findings.
So simply go ahead and get yourself checked up and proceed accordingly.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

I also have some pain in throat as well. are these connected? I attached the pictures as well, in case those help.
Brief Answer:
No pictures found, kindly try to upload them again.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It may or may not be related to this at all.
The throat pain could just be another isolated finding (given the seasonal weather, it could be due to the impending flu), just do some lukewarm saline water gargle three times daily for the time being, avoid dusty areas and any form of cold-drinks/sour foods/dairy products, observe how you stay afterward.
Unfortunately, there's no attachments/pictures found, so kindly try to upload them again.

please see attached picture in case now attached properly.
Brief Answer:
Follow as already advised...along with the additional bits...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the picture. Well, it doesn't seem like a mole/mole like thing. The entire scenario changes to the given context.
It looks like an inflamed area/lymph node which could be due to infection most likely (which was previously suspected). The throat pain could also be related to this only.
I'd advise you follow all the advice given earlier (gargling etc.) along with an ENT check-up as you may need to be put on antibiotics therapy for the time being till complete resolution of the infection.
Please be advised to go ahead and get yourself checked up by the ENT specialist (no need for Dermatologist visit as of now, based on this findings) and start the necessary treatment accordingly.
