What Could Cause A Sudden Episode Of Nose Bleed In A 15-year-old?

Question: hi my question is for my 15 yr old daughter she is healthy does suffer from anxiety this mornjng she was fine but hit a nose bleed out of the blue never happened before she was feeling a little light headed but my husband and other daughter just got over a virus I am thinking the nose bleed could be because it is dry in our home what are your suggestions

Yes you may be right, nose bleed could be due to dry nose and picking.

You can use nasal saline spray or nasal saline gel to keep it moist and help quickly stop the bleed. That should take care of it.

Hi what could be other causes because it bleeds spontaneously other than that she is a healthy child no health issues could it be bleeding pulps or associated to her allergies ?

Hello,

Allergy causes dry nostrils with damage to the hair cells. In few, even infections cause capillaries in the nostrils to swell up and open to bleed.

That could be two good reasons to think of the bleed. However, treatment remains the same in the form of nasal saline gel.
