Brief Answer:
Can be due to Osteoarthritis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, such symptoms can be due to osteoarthritis of the knee joints but for confirmation X-rays of the knee joint should be done.

A baseline uric acid levels and RA factor may also be done along with calcium and vitamin D3 levels. Subsequently, an Orthopedician or Rheumatologist review can be sought. Weight control (if any) and brisk exercises may be helpful.

Starting supplements for calcium, D3, bisphosphonates and ossein mineral complexes may be helpful for slowing the progression or even curing the problem.

OTC painkillers like Acetaminophen can be used if any pain or swelling appears.

Drinking more water and avoiding foods which increase uric acid like high protein diets (including red meat and pulses) may be avoided.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hope this has answered your query.
