What Could Cause Frequent Urination While Taking Saw Palmetto And Pygeum Seed?

Question: I been going to the bathroom more frequently. It is not to bad during the day but it is real bad after lunch which is 6:00 PM. It is really bad for me because I load and unload food and drinks on planes. I feel my kidneys tighten. What could be the cause? I am currently taking Saw Palmetto and Pygeum seed for my prostrate in case it is enlarging.

Hello,

You are having frequent urination problem. It can be due to urinary tract infection or prostate enlargement. For that I suggest you investigate with urine routine microscopic examination and ultrasonography of pelvis. Transrectal ultrasonography more helpful in rule out enlarged prostate.

If these 2 reports normal then rule out diabetes by random blood sugar estimation. If still cause not evident then overactive bladder can be your diagnosis and urodynamic flow study advisable. So above mentioned answer should be approach in your case to find cause. Underlying cause specific treatment is always priority.

You can consult urologist for examination and discuss all these. Just based on assumptions don't start herbal remedy as mentioned in question.
