What Could Cause High WBC, LC, ANC And MPV Levels In A Blood Test?
Question: Wbc 13.6, mpv 11.4, neutrophils 82.7, lymphs 11.6, neitro absolute 11.2 these are all high on my blood work, also UA pH 8.0, us ketones 1+ is protein 1+, us mucus moderate, us squamous epithelial many. ^1 troponin T . My doctor didn't seem to be concerned with these blood results although when I look online it says I'm a higher risk for heart attack with high mpvies or could be looking at a certain type of leukemia with these blood levels being like this because my platelet volume is normal all the rest of my bloodwork is normal. He saw me in January and didn't want follow-up blood work and I'm switching doctors because I'm starting to worry that something is wrong can you tell me what the blood work can mean because me doing searches online is only freaking me out right now.
Brief Answer:
Bone marrow test
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You have high white blood cell count (WBC), lymphocyte count
(LC), absolute neutrophil count (ANC) and mean platelet volume (MPV)
You could be suffering from a type of blood cancer called chronic myeloid leukemia (CML)
I would advise you to do a bone marrow biopsy and bone marrow aspiration test.
These tests involve collecting bone marrow from your hipbone and looking for abnormal CML cells under micropscope by pathologists.
You can consult your local doctor regarding it.
High MPV can lead to heart attacks so you need to do a coronary computed tomography angiography.(CCTA)
Hope I have answered your query.
