What Could Cause Lack Of Periods Despite Stopping Belara A Week Back?

Posted on Wed, 5 Jan 2022
Question: Hi, I am on the pills Belara. After I have finished the full pack, I made a 7-day break, as usual, but during 7 days there was no bleeding (I always had regular bleeding 2 days after I stopped pills). I had sex on the first pill-free day. What should I do next? Should I start the new pack? Can it be that I am pregnant?

Brief Answer:
Urine pregnancy test advised to confirm the diagnosis

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Pregnancy is unlikely if you have taken the pills regularly and consistently, without missing.
However, withdrawal bleeding should occur once the pills are stopped.
So, I will suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done to rule out any pregnancy.
If negative, then you can start the next pack of pills from the 7 th day of the pill free period.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
