What Could Cause Pain In The Mid Abdominal Area?

Question: I was seated and bending over to tie my shoes when it felt like something inside went "squip!" as if it were pinched or popped out of place. It hurt for about half an hour afterward and then subsided. If I bend down or over now I still feel the pain, though it's less. Pain is in the mid abdominal area on the left side. Any ideas?
Brief Answer:
hi and welcome
Detailed Answer:
There are several possible causes of such pain. First it can occur due to abdominal wall hernias such as umbilical or inguonal hernia. Also it can be sign of raised intraabdominal pressure that occur in conditions such as intraabdominal tumors including fibroids, enlarged liver or spleen, or intraabdominal fluid collections such as ascites. Also bloating can cause it as well. Fortunately,in most cases this is not serious and it may be just muscle pulling or pinched nerve of abdominal wall but if pain persist or progresses then you should do ultrasound or ct scan to rule out diagnoses that I 've mentioned. Wish you good health. Regards
