What Could Cause Peeling Of Skin On The Hands A Few Days After Cleaning A Wash Basin?

Question: On Thursday I was using a combination of cleaners to clean a badly stained and etched sink. It took about an hour of scrubbing and finally the sink was clean! (Of course no gloves!) I washed my hands after and did not seem to have a problem till yesterday (Sat) when my hands started peeling. They are still peeling today! What should I do/
Brief Answer:
Contact dermatitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
As per your description it seems like allergic dermatitis. Some skins are extremely sensitive to certain chemical and showed peeling when exposed to them. They will subside once the contact is terminated.
As of now no treatment is required.
Avoid further contact with that particular cleanser.
You can apply virgin coconut oil for symptomatic relief. Generally it will subside within a couple of days.
If symptoms persist consult a dermatologist.
Wishing you good health.

The symptoms of peeling did not occur till over 24 hours after contact with the chemicals and are continuing on the 3rd day. It sounds unusual for it to start that long of time after contact ....right? Would this information change your diagnosis or advice on treatment?
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Allergic contact dermatitis is a kind of immune mediated reaction and it last for few days even after the contact with the allergen.
