Question: Doctor.. hi dr. Inspite of using AUGPEN. ALLEGRA ASTHALIN SYP. THE COUGH IS NOT GONE. I HAVE CONSULTED A ENT SPECIALIST ON 10TH HE HAS PRES RIBED TAB. LIZOGORCE 600MG TWICE DAILY TAB. ALERID ONE TAB NIGHT AND XXXXXXX COUGH SYRUP I HAVE BEEN USING IT SINCE SATDAY NIGHT FEELING LITLE BETTER BUT WANT TO KNOW WHEN THE COUGH WILL GO.....

Hello,

In my opinion, we should definitely rule out bronchitis (inflammation of airways) for your persistent cough.

Get PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) done. PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about the severity of the disease and the treatment is based on its severity only.

If PFT is showing obstructive pattern then your cough will improve with inhaled bronchodilators (Formoterol or Salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (Budesonide or Fluticasone).

Dr. is this cough now is due to weather, Dr. after using the medicines of lizoforce tab, alerid, cough has gone but only some times, getting, like before eating food, of before taking medicines, before brushing after getting up in morng. like,
in 2015 i have this same cough then i have gone to a pulmonologist, he has done PFT, AND IGE TOTAL TEST, AND THEN he has prescribed Tab. Allegra M, Fexonaso Spray, Budecort rota caps 200. for 2 months course, that time after taking this course it has gone did not face any problem. again now this time it is like this. Doctor is it advisible to take this same course now.

DOCTOR CAN YOU TELL IS THIS MEDICINES TAB LIZOFORCE 600MG AND TAB ALETID, SYP. XXXXXXX COUGH SYP. OK,,,,, DOES THIS COUGH GET COMPLETELY GONE. I HAVE ATTACHED A PRESCRIPTION OF PREVIOUS CONSULTING IN YEAR 2015.

Possibility of allergic rhinitis and asthma is more likely. Actually both are classified nowadays in 'allergic Airway disease'.

You must be having some allergy which is causing allergic inflammation in airways (nose and lungs).

Allergic rhinitis (AR) is disease associated with nose allergy. Asthma is allergic disease associated with lungs. Your PFT report is also showing reduced FVC and FEV1 values. You have been given nasal spray for AR and rotacap for asthma. Nasal spray and rotacap are known as inhaled treatment. They are best for AR and asthma. And yes it is curable. But you need to first identify the causative allergen.

Chest X-ray is almost always normal in asthma. Asthma causes bronchospasm. It doesn't affect lung parenchyma. It affects airways (bronchial tubes). So chest X-ray will not show any abnormality.

Allergy is caused by an allergen. So whenever you expose to any allergen like dust, it causes inflammation (eosinophil and mast cell reaction). This inflammation causes excess secretions so patient develops coughing, expectoration, nasal discharge, sneezing etc.

With inhaled treatment and avoidance of the allergen, this inflammation can be prevented. No need to worry much.
In fruits, you should avoid citrus fruits like lemon, orange etc.

Tongue lesion is due to vitamin B complex deficiency. So start multivitamin tablets containing folic acid, vitamin b 12, riboflavin, niacin and pyridoxine. Also take zinc tablet.

Dr. Morng 9am takem metfal frte for fever it has come to normal by 1 pm then i have taken lunch and after some time applied Metrogyl dj cream on tongue. Now in evening again im feeling feverish. In my opinion, you should get done CBC (complete blood count) to identify cause for fever. Most common cause for cervical lymph node enlargement is viral upper respiratory tract infection.

This can also cause fever but fever is usually mild (less than 101°F). Since you are having high grade fever (fever of 101°F and more), we should definitely rule out malaria and bacterial infections. Get CBC done.

No need to worry for Redness in feet as it is not due to Augmentin. Normally, cervical lymph nodes are not palpable. But in some individuals, they are slightly enlarged and palpable like small swellings.

Since your lymph nodes are regressing in size, no need to worry if they are slightly enlarged and palpable. For cold, drink plenty of fluids orally and do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.

Dr. hai, dr. yestday i met a Dermatologist, as you said he also said it is due to dry skin, and also he asked whether taken any tablets, then i told him that, i have taken curse of Augmentin, and presently taking course f Maxflo rotacaps, metatop nasal spray, he said it might be due to Augmentin, and it is subsiding, and he has writen an Cream and tab, told to take it for 10 days, as you said, also seen skin peeling in palms as welll in one or two places on top of feet. DR. is it due to Medicines, Dr.. will it recover fast or how long does it take Dr. please help.... after using this cream will it go away completely or come again....

dr. i have attached a Peadiatric prescription, of my child 8 year old., he is suffering from fever since 8 days, morning he is good but some times in evening temp is 99 or 100, 101... with cough what is the word in the prescription pointed out.

Dr is it due to asthma steriods. Mrficines in my life nevrr it wad like this. Bur Dr. Even on my foot on top of foot also peeling . Eant too know does it peel in whole body. Dr wat i observed during takjng tab augmentin is when taken augmentin my whole body gets dry face hands legs. I used to apply oil and vaseline. After 3 days of course completion it was little better. But now like this. Dr is it any disease. But dermatologist said it might be due to augmentin. At the time on feet no peeling only frm yestday it is. Dr asked also whether peeling is in palm or any othet place legs etc. But i ssid only palm. Bot now it is on top of my foot i ATTACHED a photo of mt foot Dr. Getting worried why is it so happening.... dr. Pls help
