What Could Cause Pus Discharge From The Area Post Chemotherapy For Metastatic Breast Cancer?

Question: This is XXXXXXX of age 36. Almost 18 months back I have taken chemotherapy for metastatic breast cancer. After chemo I have been taking the Tykerb 1000mg/day for 3 weeks and one week off. But since 20 days pus is coming from the area above the elbow where chemo has been given earlier (black mark remained earlier and now pus is coming from that). Please let me know what could be the reason for this pus formation, anything serious that I need to be concerned/worried about this and also kindly suggest the medicine which I need to take to cure this.
Brief Answer:
Culture sensitivity test of the pus
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Since you are suffering from metastatic breast cancer and is on chemotherapy Tykerb and now pus is coming from area above elbow were chemo was given i would advise you to do culture sensitivity test of the discharge.
If any bacteria is found in pus then sensitive antibiotic has to be given to kill infection.
Hope I have answered your query.
