What Could Cause Red Rashes On The Cheeks Since Birth In A 3-month-old Girl?
Could you upload another image with more clarity and more area covered?
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It seems that your child has developed allergic rashes. You may give some anti-allergic like Cetirizine Drops (or possibly better ones like Atarax (hydroxizine) which is a prescription medicine). You also need to apply some emollient like Calamine lotion or some moisturizer like aloe vera lotion over those areas.
I need to ask whether the rashes have been there only on the cheeks and not anywhere else. An image with more clarity and covering the entire face (both sides) would perhaps be better. I say this because it could also be something called erythema toxicum which can be normal in children of this age. Unlike the name, it is absolutely harmless and needs no intervention and is not a cause for concern. Sometimes some white dots called milia can also be present. They too are not a cause for concern and are caused due to deposition of dead cells under the skin.
It might take a few days to recover, therefore, you need to be patient.
I will await your response. Let me know if I could help further.
