Question: hello < i quit smoking over 8 years ago. yesterday i had trouble take a deep beath and my right shoulder blade hurts . Keep in mind, I went to see my chiropractor and had my back adjusted
Brief Answer:
Muscle catch
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It sounds you had a deep muscle catch. It can be one of the muscles which involves with the respiration passively.
It may also be due to the result of manipulations done by the chiropractor if he was manually adjusting the upper spine and its attached muscles.
Whatever you just have to relax. Take slow and shallow breaths so that you do not irritate the muscle again. The muscles have good tendency to relax by themselves if you do not use them.
