What Dies "hypermetabolic Lymph Nodes Seen In The Left Side Of Ib Cervical Region" Mean?

Question: on my pet ct scan it shows a few hypermetabolic lymph nodes seen in the left side of ib cervical region of the neck with a uptake suv XXXXXXX 5.3 the highest lymph node measures 13x8mm

Brief Answer: Non hodgkins lymphoma Detailed Answer: Dear XXXX As you have history of non hodgkins lymphoma there is a chance of recurrence. if this is the only lymph node the size does not seem alarming and may be a reactive lymphadenitis. at this moment only observation as regards its size and appearance of new nodes is needed. A periodical check up and blood counts with peripheral smear examination should be done. Any abnormality if detected should be reported to hemato oncologist for further advice and management. Yes,I have a history of NHL follicular lymphoma been in remission since July 2009 to date . It is not only one lymph node but two lymph nodes with low grade to moderate. Are you saying recurrence
