At this stage you need to be just careful. You need to get HbA1c , thyroid profile, lipid profile and microalbuminuria done. As you are away from that magic figure of 126 and 200 you still need not start the drugs. But definitely you need the lifestyle changes . Please cut down your carbohydrates, take more of protein rich food. You need to take more of fiber rich diet.
Add more millets, oats, fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Divide your meal in to 4/5 small parts. With 2 snacks in between.
Do exercise at least walk for an hour a day

Good Evening.......Your reply is Good & heartening to me ....I got slightly depressed seeing the Figures .....Now I am OK....I got all testings done....My 3 months average came to 6.9...Full CBP LIPID Profile is perfectly OK......Only yesterday I got done....I am doing Morning Walks.. but regularly Irregular.....Now I shall reverse the Trend...I shall do at least 1 hour walking every day.... You seems to more disciplined. I feel I need not tell you more about it. Move around a while in office. Take boiled sprouts, veggies, millets. Eat nuts for snacks, boiled fish and sea foods is good if you are OK with it.
Need you be stress free. Yoga, music, pranayamas all help.
