What Do Cuts, Lump And Scab On The Genitals Indicate?
Question: I had which looked like a small cut on my genitals, the skin got caught on my underwear and took the top layer of skin of which resulted in a large scab which looked round with a red rim. I then got a small red spot which looked like it had a hair in so i tryed to pick it out... At the same point i didnt feel well run down achey and very bad sore throat.. I then got more spots down below and i went to the docs who said i had herpes and tonsilitus.. She briefly looked at them so no swabs taken, the spots didnt seem to burst or have scabs other than the big one...which has now scared... I went to the clinic but had no sores they said it could have been folliculus because of the scar from the first sore.. Or herpes.. Im not sure what to do next?
I did have burning and soreness when going to the toliet and inflamed/red skin... I also had around 5 bright red spots and one with white pus in which did not burst?

This could be genital herpes.
Diagnosis of genital herpes is usually obvious clinically. If you can click a few clear Images that would help.

Genital herpes usually presents either as fluid filled vesicles initially, which would soon break down to form grouped, discrete, erosions/ ulcers Or genital herpes lesions may presents as erosions from the beginning.
These erosions may stay discrete Or they may coalesce to form polycyclic erosions.
There may be superimposed secondary bacterial infection leading to discharge and pus formation.
There may be associated pain, burning sensation over lesions and burning on passing urine.
Genital herpes is an STD. Genital herpes is caused by Herpes simplex virus (Hsv), type 1 and less commonly by Hsv type 2.
Infection is commonly acquired by intimate sexual contact with an infected sexual partner.
In doubtful cases either an ELISA test for HSV type 1&type 2 (IgG and IgM) can be ordered Or a PCR test for HSV can be ordered.
PCR for HSV is as good as culture and is a gold standard test in diagnosis of genital herpes.
Also would like to know a little about your sexual history..
-Are you sexually active? If yes, do you have a single partner or have had multiple sexual partners in the past?

I dont have any pictures as the spots have gone, none scabbed over, they just came up and went again other than the big one which scabbed up it had quite abit of yellow pus.
The spots where near each other but not in clusters.
I have had different sexual partners in the past im just confused as the clinic told me they didnt do any blood tests and said it could be something else
