Posted on Tue, 13 Sep 2016
Question: I get feelings in my arms and my legs where I just feel like I can't relax them. It's mostly when I get in bed at night, but it's also during the day. It used to be just my legs, but now it is my arms also. I am a 59 year old female.

Brief Answer:
Get examined by a neurologist and get investigated

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
It seems you are having symptoms involving all limbs with fatigue or stiffness.
You need to get examined by a neurologist for localization of involvement.
In case it is related to cervical myelopathy, Mri spine may be required.
Muscular symptoms may be due to Thyroid disorder, vitamin D or vitamin B 12 deficiency.
Blood investigations needs to be done.
Is there any urinary complains, neck pain, weakness of limbs, sensation loss?
Provide more details.
Upload any reports if available.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Do get back to me for further queries.

I do NOT have any urinary problems - but I do have stiffness/ pain in joints as well. I am taking medication (Levothyroxine - 25 mcg) for under active thyroid disorder. I do have weakness/ pain in joints. I go to a gym 2-3 times a week and
would you be able to tell me if lifting weights could do anything. I also have wine
at night frequently with dinner. Is alcohol something I should avoid? I will follow-
up with a neurologist, as you suggested. Thank you.

Hello,
Hypothyroidism, alcohol intake and joint disease all can lead to fatigue and muscular pain and heaviness.
