Question: Dear Sir,
10 days ago I had a fight with someone. Person hit me on my forehead & right eye with his hand. Hit was of mild in nature. There was no sign of discomfort. I was able to play, drive, read etc without any probalem. After 7 days of incident, suddenly falshes start appearing on right side of eye. I visited two opthomologist who diagnose my eye and state that my eyes are ok, retina every thing is ok. My vision is 6/6. Apart from this no discomfort. One doctor advise me for some eyedrops for retina. Advise me that this will disappear automatically. Flashes are still continuing, but now they are appearing very close to right eye, earlier they were at some distance. This is really irritating. Kinldy advise me & reasons for these. Is it serious?

Brief Answer:
Periphery of retina to be examined carefully

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
These flashes indicate some damage to the periphery of retina, which apparently is not visible to the doctors at the moment.
Some multivitamin with anti oxidants are to be taken for about 4 to 6 weeks and if improvement is not visible in 2 weeks then retinal periphery is to be examined in detail.
Avoid heavy strenuous work till the problem disappears.
Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.

My dear,
Good of you to get back to me.
After a while ,you need to see an ophthalogist. It is likely to be an effect of eye injury. This is curable and hopefully there is nothing serious about this problem.
