Question: Everytime I eat anything I get severe fullness and pressure. I can't eat more than 5 spoonfuls of anything. This has been happening for 5 days. It feels like the food sits on top of my stomach, so much pressure!! What could this be? I'm 32 female, 3 kids no possibility of pregnancy

Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

The symptoms you describe might be related to dyspepsia.I would suggest to try an otc drug that lowers the acid production is stomach, relieving this way the symptoms.
I would suggest to try taking Ranitidine 75 mg once a day 30 min before a meal or you can take it at bedtime.Try to take it for 1 week and see if your symptoms improve.
Try to eat small frequent meals instead of three major meals.
If it doesn't seem to get better you may need to see your family doctor and get examined.

Hope it helps.

What causes this? It can last almost all day (intense fullness). It feels like I have a 50lb weight on my upper stomach. I can't eat more than a few grapes.
Is this caused by something like an ulcer? I've been under intense stress lately

Hello.

The most possible cause would be an overproduction of stomach acid and an overproduction of gas in gastrointestinal cause.
A peptic ulcer would cause stomach pain that get's better with eating, not just fullness.
You can take Ranitidine for 1 week and if it doesn't help ,see you doctor for proper evaluation.

Take care,
Dr.Rovena
