Question: Should I change from NAN optipro HA if my baby does dark green smelly poos?! They are quite loose and sometimes mixed with yellow and shiny. She is a happy baby, sleeps all night and no other issues so unsure of whether to upset her or not by changing formula

Brief Answer:
It's a normal thing

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.

Dark green stools is a normal finding in small babies.

The reason for green stools is that the transition time of milk in intestine of baby is less and as a result the bile is not fully reabsorbed.

If baby is comfortable, active and playful then nothing needs to be done for this.

Smelly poops can occur in babies and it's also a normal thing.

If you have some doubts then you can do a stool routine microscopy test.

There is no need to change the milk.

I hope this will help you.
Wishing your child good health.
Take care.
