What Do High Levels Of SGPT And SGOT Indicate?
Will answer one by one all the reports.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have gone through your query and understand the concern.
Any biochemical laboratory reports should be correlated with clinical features.
1) Your SGPT-57 and SGOT-48 are slightly elevated but they do not have any clinical significance especially in the absence clinical symptoms.
Serum SGPT and SGOT are highly sensitive liver function tests.
Therefore, here they can also be raised following fatty meal or even few alcohol drinks as you said you are a heavy whiskey drinker.
2) Also there is no risk involved in your slightly high LDL 137 (normal value 100 to 130),slightly high VLDL 32 (normal value 2 to 30 mg/dl) and HDL-39 (normal value 35 to 55).
However,It is very difficult to say regarding health condition from just a liver function tests and lipid profile reports but borderline HDL with slightly elevated LDL-VLDL values are considered as a higher risk of cardiovascular problems in future with considering of your heavy drinking (which is also to be believed to be one of the risk factor for cardio-vasular problem in future).
3) Your BMI is around 23.80 (Taking height-178 cm and weight 75 kg) which is completely normal.
So,finally it is difficult to comment on health status from just few medical blood reports but yes,all your reports are almost normal or we can they do not have any clinical significance especially when you do not have any clinical symptoms or signs.
In your case, heavy drinking must be curtailed and you can have occasional drinking which is not so harmful.
Hope this will help you.Feel free to ask if you have any more query.

No need to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the positive feed back.
As we discussed, your all reports are almost normal or have no clinical significance,so there is no question about any serious liver problem and liver transplant.
Somebody must have misguided you.Kindly never believe non-medical or even para-medical person's statements rather always prefer to consult the appropriate technical person of the respective field.
Even heavy drinking is not always cause serious liver damage but it would not be advisable since it may have also some cardio-vascular problem in future if one continues to take it for a longer period of time.
Rather occasional drinking or mild drinking on special occasions would be preferred which is not so harmful to the liver in an otherwise healthy person.
And lastly,I am not from XXXXXXX but some where else from Rajsthan.
If you have no more query then kindly close our discussion with feed back comments.
Wishing good health.
