What Do Jittery Feeling, Shakiness, Tremor And Weakness Suggest?

Hypothroidism for 30 yrs 88 mcg synthroid daily; 25 mg doxepin night;
Thyroxine overdose should be ruled out primarily
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Thyroxine overdosing can cause such tremors. A thyroid profile / thyroid function tests panel should be advised to look for a raised T4 and a suppressed TSH to confirm the diagnosis and adjust the dose accordingly.
Benign essential tremors, would be my next thought if the thyroid function tests are normal. Beta blockers like propranolol should be prescribed to control these tremors depending upon the clinical presentation.
Hypoglycemia, electrolyte imbalance and acid base imbalance should be ruled out by advising a ABGs, metabolic profile including blood sugar and electrolytes.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

Not likely to be related to celiac
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Neurologic issues may involve a small set of patients with celiac if its long standing. In the majority of these patients paresthesias with sensory loss is the most common presentation. Ataxia and seizures can develop if there are cerebral calcifications. However I doubt its due to the celiac as the heart rate/palpitations associated are due to autonomic activation which is unrelated to the neurologic issues associated with the celiac.
Let me know if you have any query.
Thanks
