Question: So six months ago I noticed two large spots on the front of my neck, they don't itch too much but in the last few months it has got worse and spreading to other parts of neck, the spots seem to only be around my neck area. I started smoking within those months and it seems to get worse Here are some pics

Brief Answer:
pityriasis versicolor
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.
You seem to be having a condition called pityriasis versicolor. It's a superficial fungal infection and caused by the fungus malasezzia furfur.
It's responsible for the dark spots that you have. It can be easily treated but it takes around two months for the colour to be restored.
The treatment would be application of ketaconazole lotion in equal dilution with water to the affected areas except on the face for ten minutes daily before bath for a week, and for twice a week application for two weeks after that.
It's a benign condition and will resolve with treatment.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care
