What Do Low Levels Of Na And Cl Post-flu Indicate?

Question: I'm a normally very healthy and active 76 year old. I am 9 weeks post flu and still unable to return to my normal level of physical activity. My doctor did blood work and all is normal except for slightly low Na and cl. Thanks

According to the history if you were my patient I would recommend you to do a chest X-Ray too.

However can you give some more information regarding your concern such as do you have any other symptoms like cough breathlessness fever and do you take any other medications.

Thank you. I had a negative chest film at ER. No breathlessness or fever - meds are latanoprost for glaucoma and synthroid for hypothyroid.

Hi,

Ok as you explain the history do the chest X-Ray and if it is negative and if you are without breathlessness than nothing to worry about. It doesn't seem to me to be a serious situation

You can take only painkillers like paracetamol and liquids for some days
