Brief Answer:
likely to be due to excess fat

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear XXXXX

Lump or Enlargement of both breast in a 5 year old girl is likely to be due to one of the following

1. Accumulation of excessive fat in the region: Many children who gain weight could also start accumulating fat in the area of breast causing lump or enlargement of breast

2. Premature or early enlargement of breast : Breast usually start enlarging due growth spurt around age of 9 to 11 years. Some girls could develop preburty enlargement. Whether it is due to hormonal imbalance or due to inherent natural development can only be attributed by thorough clinical examination.

3. Other swelling : Like Lymphangioma or Hemangioma. It's unlikely as they are usually not present on both side and presentation at age of 5 years is less likely

Whether it is excess fat or true breast tissue can only be inferred after clinical examination and duration of enlargement. Do keep me updated about opinion of your doctor.

Wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy life.

Take care

Brief Answer:
Brief Answer:
Likely to be preburty enlargement

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

In that case it's more likely to be preburty enlargement of breast in view of it being bilateral (involving both sides )
. Any other pathology is less likely to affect both breasts.

Kindly let me know the opinion of the doctor after clinical examination.

Take care

Best regards
Dr Deepak
