What Do Mild Joints Pain In Hands And Knees After Recovering From Typhoid Indicate?
Question: I had typhoid 3 weeks back. I was fine until 3 days back.
Now I am having mild joint pains in hands and knees.
I feel tired all the day.
But I don't have fever.
I have got Widal Tests, CBC test, RBS test and Lever Function Test
All reports are normal. My doctor has given me some vitamin tablets.
Is this common to have this tiredness post Typhoid treatment??
Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Tiredness is normal after any fever.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Tiredness is common during and after any fever.
But,joint pains are unusual.
I think your Typhoid test was positive in Widal test. Please clarify regarding this.Whether blood culture was done in the first week of fever?
As per your description, you had viral fever like Chikungunya fever .
Most of the tests will be normal in Viral fevers.
Continue the same medication prescribed by your doctor. I will also add Paracetamol 650mg in the afternoon and evening eventhough Hifenac P is prescribed.
Nothing to worry. It will come down.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
