What Do My WBC And RBC Counts Indicate?

Brief Answer:
hi and welcome
Detailed Answer:
Hi nd welcome. This is not worrying report. You have increased wbc and slightly decreased rbc but normal hemoglobin. It means that you don't have anemia and low rbc count isn't indicating any disorders at this point.just repeat rbc and hgb in 2 months. Increased wbc is caused by any inflammatory process in our body including cold, urinary infection, skin infection and many more. This is obviously caused by upper respiratory infection and when your cure it,wbc will stabilize. Wish you good health. Regards

Was called by doctor today to go over blood results. I was on my way back to urgent care to do upper respiratory infection that was getting really bad quickly over the last couple days. While I was there I asked the doctor if my ANA or Lyme disease blood test had come back yet. He looked and told me that Lyme disease was negative (thank God). However he told me that my ANA had come back 1:320 result: positive and Speckled, result: narrative. I now need to also see the Rheumatologist. So do I have Lupus, Sclerodema, systemic lupus, or maybe no lupus at all? The doctor was vague, but it looked like he didn't want to say anything and was writing a book in the computer as I sat their trying to probe. I just wanted some possibilities since I have been sick for months with joint aches, muscles in my stomach hurt, my skin on my fingers seem to have nothing but scar tissue or wounds that will not heal, headaches (front and back), eye sight has been changing from near sighted to far sighted to now somewhere in between and abnormal fatigue. Can you give me any info bad or good that can just give it to me so I don't go crazy wondering until I see the doctor. I know you don't have a definitive answer, but any info would very much be appreciated. Thank you!

Detailed Answer:
it is hard to say. you have nonspecific symptoms and nonspecific blood picture.
this is not very sigificant ana titer and this is still not indicating autoimmune disease but further examinations and tests should be done. I wouldnt say that you have some typical symptoms for SLE or scleroderma since you dont have some other signs that are classified in diagnostic criterias for these diseases. so at this point, you have reason to be optimistic, but even if sle or fibromialgia is diagnosed, this is not serious disease today. scleroderma is more serious but rare.
So, just be patient and follow doctors instructions, I am sure that everything will be fine. Wish you good health. Regards
