Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

After reviewing your laboratory results I would like to say that you shouldn't worry about these numbers.

Your total cholesterol levels and LDL cholesterol levels are low and within rageted levels for patients who had passed myocardial infarction.

The only data that need to be followed up with laboratory analysis every 1-3 months are globulin and albumin / globulin ratio. Actual globulin levels is slightly decreased and the ratio is slightly increased. These findings may be related to liver damage from simvastatin use.

If you were my patient I would recommend to do an abdominal ultrasoundand full liver check up.

If other laboratory data especially liver enzymes are normal than you should follow up with the same analysis after 1-3 months.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!

ASSUMING THAT THE DECREASE IN GLOBULIN IS RELATED TO LIVER DAMAGE, IS THIS DAMAGE REVERSABLE? AND IN YOU OPINION CAN SOMETHING BE DONE TO DECREASE THE IMPACT OF SIMVASTATIN ON THE LIVER?

Brief Answer:
Following advice.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

If these findings are related to liver damage from simvastatin than liver damage is reversible with discontinuation of simvastatin.

In order to protect liver from simvastatin damage I would recommend the following measures:
- Stop drinking alcohol
- avoid fatty foods
- take hepato protector pills (Legalon) to your therapy.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
