Thyroid is normal. Evaluate for cause
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXX, I do understand your concern.
At your age mostly the heart is always normal.
So why would the pulse be on higher side?
One which is of importance is some electrical circuit of the heart misfire s. However in such a case the heart rate is far higher, generally more than 150.
Second and more common is what we call sinus tachycardia / it's normal increase in heart rate mostly due to anxiety related to any physical or mental stress, even more of consumption of caffeine, alcohol. Smoking and all other things that may increase your adrenaline in the body.
Your thyroid is completely normal and do forget about it for time being.
Now to take betacarp is like taking combiflam for fever without knowing the cause of fever which is not justified. Also 110-120 is not really high pulse rate.
So by cardiac point of view how do we make sure everything is OK.
Two test should be done. 2d echo to know any structural heart problem and 24 hour holter which will record your ecg for a day and see what's the pattern during your palipation.
Now if both are normal, cut on all what I mentioned above, if still your pulse stay s higher. Just msg me so I would discuss with your the diagnosis and all treatment available which can be taken which has no side effect.
Betacarp at your age can cause some fatigue, decrease libido and some other non specific problems so long term consumption without need is not want I will suggest.
