What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

Question: I had a cervical biopsy recently because of another abnormal pap. The doctor that did it last year was not available and I had a different doctor. This doctor could not get a good angle (her words) and kept twisting the speculum around and up and down causing me real pain and discomfort. I am a teacher and on my feet a lot. The next day I had a lot of pain and could barely walk, and the day after that I had a fever and was told by a nurse over the phone to go to the ER. The obgyn at the ER said to me that I had herpes. I am not sexually active. And when I told that to the obgyn she said well the virus can lay dormant in your body for years. I told the ob that I believed that it was from the biopsy because she had to switch tools and kept moving the speculum around. A procedure that normally takes 10 minutes, took this doctor 20 minutes. She said "Well I've never seen this from an exam before". She took a swab. I later started researching HSV pictures and it looks nothing like what I have. Please give me your opinion

Brief Answer:
They can be due to trauma

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query to HCM.

I understand the uncomfortable and painful situation you are in but from the history and reports which you have uploaded, is suggestive of trauma caused likely by your doctor.

They seem to be ulcers of your vaginal mucosa while you refer that you have been on pain after examination you have done the day before.

In my opinion these small ulcers on your vagina haven't relation with Herpes virus infection.

Hence you should try to use Sitz baths with warm water adding two table spoon of Betadine (Povidone Iodine) solution in one liter of water.

You can try and over the counter creams that contain Corticosteroids for internal use.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate.

All the best

Thank you! I am not sexually active. And I am thinking that these area NSGU-non sexual genital ulcers and may be genital Aphthous Ulcers. I have two different insurances and will be going to another doctor next week.

The pain has subsided as I drank green tea and lots of water.

It does not look like herpes when I researched the photos.

Thank you very much!

Brief Answer:
Chances are bigger to be genital Ulcers than Herpes infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again and thanks for trusting to HCM.

I'm very glad to hear that pain has been subsided.

I agree with you that these vaginal lesions cam be more Aphtous ulcers from trauma caused from your doctor than Herpes infection.

You have done very good you have used green tea and try to use much more vit C and Vit E rich foods to increase your immune system.

Please inform me after you will have results of biopsy of the cervix.

All the best and God bless you
