What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

Hi Can you please upload your complete laboratory reports here.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mam,
Welcome to HealthCareMagic.
I did review your concern. Low white cell count and aberrant kidney function tests can be due to multiple reasons. In order to provide proper differential diagnosis and suggest further steps for diagnosis and treatment I need to review your complete report.
I would recommend you to upload your reports here. Also please let me know if you are having any problems recently for which you had to do a laboratory workup. If you have any problem uploading the report you can also send them to YYYY@YYYY with Sub: ATTN 'Dr Parth XXXXXXX Desai'.
Awaiting your reply.
Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns mam.
Sincerely,
Dr Parth Desai

Hi I would recommend the following.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mam,
I got the reports you attached and the link you sent is showing the homepage with username and password.
However, from the brief report which is available which shows lymphocyte count, Asparatate transaminase and creatinine, your lymphocyte count is low (0.8), creatinine is low(41umol) and aspartate transaminase levels are 31 (slightly high).
I would like to see your total leukocyte count, hemoglobin and platelet count and assuming that it is normal, then your reports seem to be fine. Lymphocyte count is only very slightly low and there is nothing to worry about unless the above mentioned hemogram parameters are way out of the range or you are having constant fever or other problems.
Low creatinine is also not an issue as it is high creatinine which is worrisome and not low creatinine. These might be lab abberration especially when excess water is drank before the blood is drawn out.
Aspartate transaminase levels are also very slightly high and would be significant only if alanine transaminase levels are high or if they remain higher even after 1-2 months or you experience abdominal pain, jaundice or excessive fatigue. Are you on any hormonal pills?
Overall Your report as shown seems to be normal.
1) Please let me know what is your total leukocyte count, hemoglobin and platelets (will be mentioned in the complete blood report) and
2) If you are taking hormonal pills or drinking alcohol (more than 1 drink per day)?
3) And also if you are having high fever or abdominal pain or excessive fatigue?
4) Also if the serum bilirubin and alanine transaminase reports are done let me know the values.
If your blood values are normal I do not think there is anything to worry about the low count of lymphocytes.
I hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any concerns or questions mam.
Sincerely,
Dr Parth Desai

I feel fine, not fatigue and no stomach pain.
Hemoglobin 135 G/L
Aspartate 35 U/L
Alanin 37 U/L
Leukocyte count .08 XE9/L
Platelets 152 XE9/L
Hi I would recommend the following.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mam,
Thank you for your reply query.
Your hemoglobin and platelet count is normal so there is nothing to worry. However, Can you please confirm me the leukocyte count once again since there seems to be an error.
I would recommend you to restrict wine intake to 1-1.5 glasses if possible just as a precautionary measure. Red wine is healthier and considered heart protective if taken in moderation (15 ml/day).
Rest of your lab reports are absolutely normal and hence there is nothing to worry. I would just recommend you to confirm the leukocyte count to me with the units provided in the report.
I hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any concerns or questions mam.
wish you all the very best.
Sincerely,
Dr Parth Desai

B12 is high 723 pmol/l
You have been amazing... I will certainly get the peripheral blood smear test done.
I appreciate time. Thank you
Hi I would recommend a peripheral smear examination
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mam,
Thank you for your reply.
Leukocyte count seems to be low. In these cases the next step is to get a peripheral blood smear examined by a hematopathologist. It seems like just agranulocytosis since your hemoglobin and platelets are doing well so there is nothing much to worry about as of now. However I would recommend a peripheral blood smear examination to confirm the low count and to look for cause of such a low count. Vitamin B12 is slightly high which is okay since it is a water soluble vitamin and does not cause toxicity.
I hope this helps.
Let me know if you have any concerns or questions mam.
wish you all the very best.
Sincerely,
Dr Parth Desai
