What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?
Question: Please confirm that my hearing loss in my right ear falls outside of the outlined standard. Please see the attached hearing test results and the ACOEM hearing standard (page 2 of attachment). I have also attached the CT scan report to give you background on the nature of the injury that caused the hearing loss.

Yes, you hearing loss falls outside the outlined standard.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. Yes, your hearing loss lies outside the outlined standard.
2. The large conductive loss in the right ear suggests an ossicular discontinuity. If you can upload endoscopic images of the ear drums, it will be helpful.
3. This should be correctable with ossicular reconstruction surgery or a BAHA ( Bone Anchored Hearing Aid ).
4. This hearing loss will affect sound localisation.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
