What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

Question: I am concerned about HIV, here are ny following test results:

HIV RNA test - Negative at 20 days
HIV 4th gen test - Negative at 20 days
HIV 4th gen test - Negative at 7 weeks

Are these conclusive? I had a relatively low risk expoaure.

You had only low risk exposure and HIV RNA at 20 days along with 4th gen test at 20 days as well as 7 weeks all are negative then you need not to worry about HIV at all and you can consider these results as highly reliable and conclusive.

The window period for HIV varies from 15 days to 3 months so you need to get tested again after 12 weeks to get 100% conclusive result as per routine HIV guidelines nothing else. Allay the fear, anxiety or stress as the risk is practically zero in your case.

Thanks, doctor. I am nearly 12 weeks after exposure so i guess i could get another test. Is it possible to have ARS at 12 weeks?

Doctor, i just had a rapid antibody test today. Today marks 11 weeks and 6 days (I assume thats close enough). The result was negative as you predicted. Can i be sure im in the clear?
