thanks. what are schmorl nodes? and nucleus pulposus? is this serious? do I have a fracture by l1? I take omeprazole because of esophagitis. is this making it worse? what kind of moderation in daily activities do you mean? thanks in advance
Brief Answer:
These are age related degenerative changes.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing back,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,
Nucleus pulposus are part of inter vertebral disc which are present in between two vertebra. These may herniate into adjacent vertebra to form schmorl nodes.
These are not very serious findings and these are age related degenerative changes.
You don't have L1 vertebra fracture. There are compressive changes in end region.
You may consult physiotherapist and avoid certain postures like abrupt forward bending etc.
Avoid lifting heavy objects and need exercise regularly.Regular exercise will strengthen back muscles and may prevent further changes.
