What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?
attached are my husbands lab test report.., on fasting. is it fine. what care I can take for future?
Major findings indicate dyslipidemia.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to Healthcaremagic,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,
Major findings indicate raised triglyceride, non HDL cholesterol and LDL level.
Cholesterol level is also towards upper limit.
ALT is also increased which indicate liver injury.
At this stage,I suggest my patients for diet and life style modification and repeat test after six weeks.
If findings are persistently raised then you may need atorvastatin and fenofibrate combination tablet. These medicines will correct raised lipid level.
You may also need ursodeoxycholic acid tablet for raised ALT.It will correct liver injury.
I suggest to avoid fried and fatty food and go for regular brisk walk at least 5 kms.
Avoid red meat and fatty milk products.
Mildly raised MPV is not a concerning factor.
Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your query.
Further queries are most welcome.
