What Do My Lab Test Results Indicate?

Do you think I am taking to much omega 3? Also do you think I should take red yeast? I exercise everyday and my results were taken today, but in the last two weeks I had a lot of stress with my mother law passing away. Could this have done something to my results because my results we better last time? Do you know of something else I could do?
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
Since you are having dyslipidemia the recommended dose of Omega 3 fish oil is between 2000 to 3000 mg per day. So you should continue with the actual dose of omega e fish oil.
Eating a healthy diet with a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables including red yeasts with help you to improve your dyslipidemia.
It's a well known fact that stress and anxiety has a negative impact on metabolism and on bloody lipids levels.
This is why stress can cause/ or aggravate dyslipidemia. Increasing physical and recreational activities you may improve your dyslipidemia by burning fats and by lowering stress.
If you were my patient I would recommend to continue with a healthy lifestyle diet and supplements for 1-2 months. Only if the dyslipidemia will persist you should start statins.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Yes red yeast is effective almost as a statin with fewer sidde effects. It should be used with care in patients with known liver disease.
It doesn't required liver function monitoring in normal people. The red yeast side effects include head ache and myalgia.
Yes you should loose more weigh by diet and physical activity. This will help to improve your lipid profile.
Wish you health!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
I would like to suggest a Mediterranean diet based on:
- Fresh vegetables, salads and fruits.
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Fish and poultry (white meat).
- Avoid eating a lot of starch, pasta, pizza etc.
- You may drink at maximum a glass of red wine per day
- Use the above mentioned vitamins and supplements (you are already taking)
- Use chamomile tea and valeriana to relieve anxiety.
If you were my patient I would recommend to loose 5-10 more pounds.
Hopethis will be of help!
Wish you health!
