What Do My Lab Test Results Indicate?

Question: Hello Dr.,
My daughter was in an MVA, pedestrian vs. SUV. She was the pedestrian. I have just now received the documentation I have been waiting for years and I am confused. Why would measurement for impairment be measured on her Lumbar and Cervical, but not her Thoracic spine, even though one surgeon did say damage to the the Thoracic [all myofascial injuries] She is having difficulty with her right hip. Could you please tell me what the following means?
Active range of motion of the right hip revealed flexion was 90%. Abduction was 30 degrees and adduction was 20 degrees. Considering she was not able to lie down in the prone position there are no comments regarding extension, internal and external rotation? What is the normal range of motion for a hip? What would be the total impairment. She now has to walk with a knee brace, back support and a cane. She was 24 at the time of the accident. Will she get better and what can I do?

Thank you so much for your time.
Regards XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Can you send her x rays

Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
I have studied your case.

Thoracic spine is very less XXXXXXX spine. Only movement possible in thoracic spine is rotation. So they have not mentioned this.

Normally hip has 10 to 20 degree extension. Flexion is 120 degree. Abduction and adducion up to 45 degree. External and internal rotation up to 45 degree. So she has restriction of extension and flexion.

If you can send me her images of X rays then I can better understand.

If hip is damaged then chances of repair is poor. In that case only hip replacement can help. Please send me her x rays also. If possible report which you receive.
Thanks

Thank you so much for your answer. I will try to get her x-rays from the clinic.
Would it be possible to have damage done to the Thoracic spine if she was hit on the side of her body by a large van, and thrown a few meters? The MRI shows nothing for the Thoracic or any of the other parts of the spine. But to have long term myofascial injuries in the cervical and lumbar, and not the thoracic seems a bit strange.

Brief Answer:
If MRI is normal then thoracic spine is fine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Although thoracic spine injury can occur but due to ribs it is very rare. Ribs cage prevent thoracic spine injury also as I mentioned that there is very less mobility so it is rigid and stable. And MRI normal means there is no doubt about that. Thanks
