What Do My Test Results Indicate?
Question: Hello Doctor,
I am 10 weeks Pregnant. I had an IUD at 32 weeks on 4th July 2014. I have been a consulting a doctor in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
The Doctor's termed IUD as unexplained. My all tests which doctor conducted were normal.
TORCH Test Results = Normal
TOXOPLASMA IGG 2.43
TOXOPLASMA IGM 0.30
RUBELLA IGG 3.37
CYTOMEGALOVIRUS IGG 8.19
CYTOMEGALOVIRUS IGM 0.79
HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS-1 IGG 0.07

I do not have any blood pressure problem, Diabetes etc.
my doctor has advised me to take lower molecular weight heparin till 9th Month, I read about heparin and know that there are complications to the mother and baby. I have a son (6 years and did not have any complications earlier)
I needed advice if I should start heparin given the fact that my all reports are normal? is it advisable as i do not have any history of clot?

Heparin is given to increase the blood circulation to the fetus . If given in the adequate dose and stopped in time there should be no problem if used . Also any history of bleeding problems should be eliminated . It should be stopped at least 4 weeks before delivery . None of the causes you have been tested for should cause IUD . It's unexplained 90% of the time there. Nothing in your history suggests any cause for that . However in this pregnancy b cautious and use all precautions . You can take the medicines prescribed to you. Low molecular weight heparin is fine .
