Brief Answer:
Herpes cannot be cured

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

you haven't given enough data for your condition. I suppose that you're talking about herpes (although I cannot guess what kind - cold sores, genital herpes, shingles). In any case, recurrences are expected, particularly when fever, psychological stress, or other medical conditions occur. The recurrences cannot be foreseen.

Treatment efficacy depends largely on prompt initiation. The sooner you start the treatment, the better its efficacy. Treatment reduces the severity of the symptoms but it won't really cure the disease. The Herpes virus cannot be killed. The drugs can only help the host's immune system to reduce its effects.

Having said all the above, it's not uncommon to experience frequent outbreaks (even without any obvious cause) and you cannot predict the duration of the illness with accuracy.

I hope I've helped!
