Question: Hi I am my 2nd series of Rooster Comb in my knee. I have a Dr.for pain control. That Dr.is not doing the injections and did not do the first set. I was in horrific pain from the injections, and used some Daluted. (Wrong Spelling)I had from a previous surgery and needed every bit of them for pain. I no longer have any extra medicine f or these injections. I asked my Dr about some and he said they do not give out medication for this procedure because they don't hurt. P.S. I have a contract with my pain Dr that I am unable to get any medications from another Dr. I have 2 questions. Is horrible pain common and gets worse with each injection. How can I talk to my Dr. if I need some meds.?

Brief Answer:
As mention below

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Welcome to HCM and thanks for the query
I understand your concern and sorry for your condition

The most common side effects are pain and redness in the area of injection and will disappear in the next 4-5 days after injections.
Your pain is due to severe osteoarthritis of the knee that will not respond to the rooster comb injection.

- Ask your orthopedician for tramadol injection for faster relief of the pain.
You can also ask your orthopedician to use local anesthetic like xylocaine with hyaluronic acid to reduce the pain.

Take some advices that help for pain:
Hot water fomentation
Avoid sitting on the floor and squatting
Compression bandage
Local application of capsaicin cream can be tried to reduce pain.

Hope I have answered your query
I will be happy to help you of you have further query
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
