What Do Painful Purple Spots On The Soles Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 3 Oct 2017
Question: 3/4' black or dark purple spot on the outside edge sole of my foot. Noticed it 10 days ago when it was painful to walk on. It was slightly raised, now it's not. Pain reduced, It is now slightly tender to the touch. The light colored area is disturbed skin where I tried to prick it with a small scissor. I take 8 aspirin per day, every day for arthritis. 61 year old male. I may have stepped on my cat's toys, etc., at night. Hematoma or melanoma is my concern.
