Brief Answer:

Possibly not a cause for concern but you should still opt for a check up

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have gone carefully through your query. The inside of the eye contains vitreous humor which is a gel-like substance.

It remains attached to the retina (the photosensitive layer of the eye) by thin strands.

Pull on these strands may activate the retina and give you an impression of things that are actually not there. It is possibly not a cause for concern.

Nevertheless, you should visit an ophthalmologist and get your eyes evaluated (possibly using a split lamp microscopy). I would insist you not to ignore it.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
