What Do Recurrent UTI And Incontinence After TOT Cystoscopy Indicate?

Question: I have had a TOT cystoscope, anterior and posterior repair using a Desara mesh from Caldera Medical Inc . Since having this mesh inserted I have had continual UTIs , incontinence, fatigue . In the last four months I have been developing little red spots under the skin that itch . When scratched it breaks the skin and they stay as tille red itchy spots. Would this be by body trying to reject the mesh. I also get a lot of infections so am on antibiotics a lot . Could it be my body going into an autoimmune system telling me that the mesh needs to come out. Not many surgeons can do this without side affects. Hoping somebody can help with this problem
Brief Answer:
you may need removal of the mesh.

Hello,
Your thinking is in the right direction. TOT mesh repair for urinary incontinence, may not work for everybody. In some it does lead to UTI and failure, causing incontinence. In such cases, you should see your urologist and after examination, he'll advise regarding, removal of the mesh.
The red spots and itching are typically seen as an allergic reaction. Recurrent urinary infections are another indication that it may need removal.
