Question: Hello Doctor! I'm a 26 year old married female. I weigh 69 kgs and and 5 ft 4 in tall. Of late, I've been experiencing mild shortness of breath. It comes and disappears. My local doctor suggested me to take an ECG after ruling out cold. He said it's normal. I'm now attaching my ECG for your reference. Kindly let me know if the report is normal. Thank you.

Sorry This is supposed to go to a Cardiologist. I've selected the speciality wrong.

Thank you Doctor. I've started jogging early in the morning for 30 minutes to reduce weight. I've heard of people getting sudden cardiac arrest while running or doing exercise, even at an young age. I would like to know what are the risk factors in it. Can I proceed with my jogging?

I did it five months back and it came out normal. Should I do it again now? And I'll be doing mild jogging only...not heavy jogging or running.

Follow up answer!

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Most common cause of sudden cardiac arrest at early age is Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy.Unfortunately most common presentation of HOCM is death.Only 15% of people present initially with breathlessness.
So if you want to be sure gold standard test is 2d echo.If echo is normal you could proceed with your jogging schedule.
Thanks!

Brief Answer:
No

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
2d dcho and stress test should be done once in a year.If it was normal no need to worry,You are free from cardiac side.
Thanks!
