What Do Red And Itchy Patches On The Side Of The Face Indicate?
Question: I have a constant red itchy patch on the sides of my face for the last 4 weeks. I have been prescribed steroid cream and most recently Canesten cream but the red is still prevelant, I can feel it itch and is worse in warm environments, there are no spots just red skin on both sides which on inside comes across my cheek under my eye. The sides of my eyes are white.

I have attached photos.
I have tried fucidin cream and betamethasone 1%, and canesten. The redness is still there. I have also been taking piriton.

It's looking like photo allergy.
If you look closely there is sparing around ear, this is typical of photo allergy.
Use a mild steroid cream like cortisone daily in night and a sunscreen in morning.
Stop cortisone after a week and continue with sunscreen.
This should help you.
