What Do Red And Painless Bumps Near The Penile Shaft Indicate?

Question: Hello so i received a blowjob without a condom and had sex with a condom from a person I do not know at around 430 AM monday morning and on tuesday morning around 9ish i saw red/skin color painless bumps on the base of my penis. When you look closly you can see very small white heads. On tuesday night i felt tingling in only my arms and face (but i attributed it to drinking and being dehydrated as i had been on vaction in a hot area with a lot of drinking. They are still here on sunday. Is this folliculitis or and std? One doctor has already said that it looked like folliculitis but i would another opinion. Thanks for all the help!

Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist and venereologist). I have gone through your query and I have viewed the Images.
They do look like folliculitis although I would suggest screening for Genital Herpes and would like to rule out molluscum contagiosum
Since its been almost a week since you noticed the bumps. So I want to know are those bumps still there?Have they increased Or have they resolved? How has the response been to the treatment so far?
Regards

Tomorrow morning will be day 6 of when I noticed the bumps. The first three pictures that I sent were from last night. while the pictures I am sending now are from right now I will say that I'm not to sure if they have shrunk in size but they have not grown in size. I have just started a treatment of amoxicillin tonight. So the treatment process has just started. The first opinion that I received I should note was from a doctor on this app as well which is why I wanted a second opinion. Also they are painless and do not hurt to touch. How Likely would you say that it could be herpes? Thank you for your time and help. I really do appreciate it.
Brief Answer:
I would keep molluscum as a possibility
Detailed Answer:
Hi. Thank you.
So they have'nt changed much since you noticed. I would like to differ in my diagnosis and I would keep molluscum contagiosum as a very likely possibility. The reason for confusion with folliculitis is probably because these molluscum lesions are still very small and because molluscum is pearly white it may resemble a pus head. Molluscum contagiosum is asymptomatic.
Folliculitis does't last that long. Moreover folliculitis is painful and it should have drained by now.

Last question what would you say are the best iptions for treatment not considering surgery
Brief Answer:
Imiquimod cream
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Electrofulguration would give you faster results as it would ablate the lesions of molluscum in a single sitting.
Imiquimod 5% cream is an option if you dont want to go for electrofulguration. Imiquimod is available on prescription.
