Brief Answer:
Can be due to cheek bite or recurring apthous ulcer..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms red and pink spot in the cheek mucosa that comes and goes off does not seems to be anything serious, so first of all relax..

Any lesion that is not persistent and resolves on its own and reappear are commonly not signs of any serious illness..

It can be due to cheek bite while eating or irritation of the mucosa with hot or very spicy foods leading to formation of small bumps or ulcers..

It can also be due to any sharp edges of tooth which when getting rubbed against the mucosa can cause irritation and ulceration.

It can also be recurring apthous stomatitis or recurring canker sores which can occur due to a number of common conditions like Nutritional deficiency of Iron, Vitamin B12 or folic acid , Stress, Physical trauma, excessive intake of sour and spicy foods, allergic reaction to certain medications or foods etc..

You need not to worry and just consult an oral physician and get evaluated..

The physician can advise you to take multivitamins for a period of one month..
If the spots are sore you can apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine over them.
Do warm saline gargles.
Avoid very hot and spicy foods..
If there are any sharp edges of tooth get them smoothed by a dentist..
Keep stress minimal..

If possible kindly send me clear images of the spots so that I can guide you better..
If you have any more queries you are most welcome..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
