Question: My Grandson just showed me his penis since I am a Nurse. He has fine red petechiae just on the head of his penis. He said that it has been there forever-not related to anything. He is sexually active, but just recently.

Thanks for your query. Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your grandson has red spots on glans of his penis .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to make comments on his problems
1) Does he have unprotected sex?
2) Is there any itching at glans penis ?
3) Does he have any urinary symptoms ?

Mostly it is due to infection of glans penis ( Ballanitis).which should get cured with antibiotic like Cefecxime along with anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily and topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin for local application.

Ask him to clean his genitals with warm water twice daily .

Ask him to refrain from sexual activities till it gets cured completely.
