What Do Red Spots On Tongue Indicate?
Question: The left side of my tongue has hurt for like the last week, i looked at it a couple days ago and there were just like a couple little red spots, nothing big, today i looked at it and there is like a green spot, i dont know if this is from rubbing up against my teeth or something more serious what do you think this could be

I have gone through the photo you provided and noted:
- the little red spots on your tongue
- the ulcerated (green as you say) spots on the left
- and the upper part of your tongue being covered with a white layer.
From what I have seen, and from what you are reporting, they seems to be related to possible viral infection of the upper respiratory tract.
Can you please refer if:
- you have been experiencing flu-like symptoms recently (including last week)?
- does your throat hurt? burn?
- are you having problems with bowel movements: constipation? diarrhea? gas?
- any history of using antibiotics recently?
- are you taking any medication currently?
- any examination/lab test carried out recently: complete blood count?
For the moment, I can advise to:
- keep a good oral hygiene
- apply honey mixed with a bit of baking soda on your tongue

I went to the doctor a few weeks ago and they said that i had a respiratory infection, i just finished a 2 week round of amox-clav 875 mg, but this just started like 5 days ago, i have had a sore throat the past 2 days

Ok then, as this started 5 days ago after treatment with amoxyclav, it is indicating candida infection from antibiotic use.
I advise to :
- start oral antifungal gel
- take OTC probiotics
- apply oral antiseptic solution containing iodine
Candida is an opportunistic pathogen which thrives when GI flora is altered.
It will be settled once the normal flora will be restored.
