Question : Once every other week, I will get a strong pain above my breasts but below my collarbone, while eating. Right in the middle.
The pain will build and then go away over a total span of 3 minutes. Breathing will be difficult during this time. I cannot swallow water during this time.
The feeling is that an elephant is standing on my chest, crushing me. If it lasted 2 more minutes I'm certain I would pass out from pain and lack of oxygen.
The last 3 times it happened while I had either rice or salmon or noodles.
I chew my food enough and eat with a glass of water. This is getting scary.

Please refer to the detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma'am,

After going through the medical history provided by you I would like to tell you that your symptoms seem more of some esophageal disorder or it can be some kind of food allergy.

From the cardiac point of view, I would like to suggest you get an ECG done at the time of your symptoms so that cardiac cause can be excluded.

Meanwhile, it's advisable that you should personally consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation and opinion.

I hope this information will be helpful and will guide you properly.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
